Notice 2 (4 March 2001) - Australasian Conway Dinner

The first Australasian Conway dinner was held in Sydney in 1998, and was attended by about 50 O.Cs accompanied by their ladies. It was a great success, followed by the second dinner held in October last year in Auckland, New Zealand. This attracted even more O.Cs.

In the year 2002, it has been decided that the dinner will be held on Saturday 13th April 2002 at the Mercure Hotel in Brisbane, Queensland. The Friday will have an informal get-together in the evening, the dinner on the Saturday and on Sunday, another function will be held, but the details of that are still to be finalised.

A great deal of planning is neccessary to ensure that we have the biggest and best Conway function ever held outside the U.K.

The most difficult part is to be able to calculate numbers with any great degree of accuracy. As is now customary, the ladies are of course included, as will be guests and their ladies from Worcester and Pangbourne.

We would like to see as many overseas participants as possible and will arrange to have an ongoing itinerary prepared for those who wish to extend the trip to see some of this wonderful country.

Without any obligation, please register your interest at an early date and we will keep you informed as the details become finalised.

We have already completed a very attractive accommodation package in Brisbane at the venue, the Mercure.
