Links
When we first started this
web site the capabilities of search engines were rudimentary so we added
a page provided a long list of Conway and other maritime links. We had
made a rod for our own backs; sites changed their addresses, some sank
withjout trace, new sites appeared. A labour of love became a labourious
chore. Fortunatley, modern search engines are much more sophisticated
and take the starin of keeping links up to date so we've abandoned our
own list.
If you want to find references
to Conway try using the following words:
"hms conway"
"hms nile"
"hms winchester"
"mount edgecumbe" (the second
ship became Edgecumbe and was moored under Brunel's bridge at Saltash).
I suggest you enclose them
in quotes so you get only direct ship references."Conway"
by itself, for example, will include the town in Wales, everybook ever
published by Conway Maritime Press, thousands of people called Conway,
places around the world named Conway....
Remember you can search for
text entries or for images.
If you find something interesting
